Who Are You Competing For?

Cycling for Yourself or CompetitionIt’s only natural that once you see yourself improving on the bike and getting stronger, that you’ll be interested in competing.  Sure it is.  But in this quick tip from Darryl, he recommends that you ask yourself who you are competing for.

It’s easy to start doing something for the wrong reasons, which can often lead to negative results.  So he cautions you about making sure that competing in cycling won’t distract from the reasons you took it up and love it so much.

Either way, we support you 100%….but this podcast will help make sure you’re moving in the right direction.

  1. I really like this post. As I start to set some goals for the new year, I always question whether or not I want to begin to pursue racing. For now, I am riding for my health and trying to help others do the same. I am not yet convinced racing is the next logical progression for me. I’m looking for that positive result. As long as my goals continue to fuel my passion and what I am seeking to accomplish, I will keep on riding for me. I think racing is definitely for me, just not right now.
